New in the Library!

Be sure to check out the NEW MUSIC BOOK SHELF located on the second floor of Irwin in the "M" (Music) quadrant (northeast side) against the NORTH wall.  Look here to find scores and music books that have recently been added to our collection.  The materials on these shelves will change every few weeks!

The Butler Libraries seek to provide resources in various formats that support learning and research in these areas.  This guide is designed to help make you, the user, more aware of the various kinds and types of resources available to you.  The resources on this guide do not constitute an exhaustive list.  They have been selected as a representative sampling designed to help get you started in your research.

 

Your Librarian

At Butler, a librarian with appropriate expertise and interest is assigned to be a liaison to each of the major subject areas taught at the University.  Sheri Stormes is the liaison to Butler's School of Music.  She is responsible for ordering materials and answering reference and research questions rrelating to music and for providing instruction relating to the discovery, evaluation, and use of music-related materials in the Butler Libraries and elsewhere.

 Sheri is available to assist you with music research and other questions relating to the library from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Her office is Room 119B on the main floor of the Irwin Library.   Additional contact information is available in the box to the right of this one.

The important thing to remember is:  Sheri is here to help you!  Feel free to contact her with any questions you might have relating to the Library and/or any of its resources for the subjects taught in the Jordan College of Fine Arts!
