Scholarship in the Digital Age: Kill Your Textbook

Accompanies a presentation.

Alternatives to Textbooks

Looking to decrease student costs and kill your textbook? Here are some tools that you can take advantage of in order to still provide quality content without the standard textbook:

  • Butler Libraries' fantastic online resources (ebooks, articles, reviews, videos, and more)
    • Be sure to comply with all copyright laws by permalinking directly to the article.
  • Freely available educational resources

There are so many others that we haven't listed -- the best person to talk to about these resources is your librarian!

Publish your Own Textbook?

We are in the early stages of creating a Butler-hosted platform for e-textbook design and publication. Interested in being a part of this? Let us know!
