Disney Traditions

Within the first week of beginning your program, you will be expected to attend Disney's "Traditions" course. This program is intended to be an introduction to the culture and heritage of the world-famous Disney Tradition. Traditions will help Cast Members learn about the past, present and future of Disney and help Cast Members understand how they fit into the quality and success of the Walt Disney Company.

At the end of this class, Cast Members will become official Walt Disney Cast Members and receive their nametag and company ID.

Please note: Business casual attire is required when you attend Traditions. If you are not in proper attire and observing the Disney Look, you will be asked to reschedule traditions for a different day.

Location Training

Certain roles require additional role-specific/location-specific training. This additional training will be detailed in your training schedule. Every training schedule looks different, and some roles require more training than others. You may be required to be dressed in non-costumed guidelines for training days and will be required to be in Disney Look.

Disney Welcome Event

Join Mary & The Mouse to get a sneak preview of what Disney's Welcome party looks like! These events happen weekly as more College Program participants arrive and often include food, music, and giveaways.

Disney College Program Orientation (DLR Only)

If you are a Disneyland Resort (California) participant, your schedule will vary slightly from that of the Florida program participants. On your second and third days, you will be expected to attend an orientation about the Disney College Program experience and what you should expect from it.

During this orientation, you will meet the Housing team, including the instructors of your educational courses. You will also learn about exciting events planned for you during the program.

After orientation, participants will have the chance to attend a fair where they can learn about Disney's Commuter Assistance Program, Professional Internships, Disney VoluntEARS, Diversity Groups and more!

Disney Traditions class will be on days 4-7 of your program.
