CAT Lending Library: About the Lending Library

The Center for Academic Technology (CAT) has several pieces of equipment and books available for faculty and staff members. These resources are made available in an attempt to expose both faculty and students to the newest technological innovations that students may use in the professional world post-graduation. By offering these technologies and integrating them into the classroom now, Butler students are better prepared to enter the workplace.

We loan audio and video equipment, tablets, and special equipment. For more information or to check out an item, please contact the Center for Academic Technology at 317-940-8575 or visit the Center for Academic Technology, IL303.

Note: Faculty and staff wishing to reserve a laptop should visit IT. Students requiring ADA-compliant computer equipment should contact the Student Disability Services office.

As a reminder, there are several ways technology may be borrowed at Butler depending on affiliation.

For Students:

• Laptops, iPads, and chargers from Irwin Library
• Media Equipment (video cameras, etc.) from Irwin Library
• Projectors and screens from IT Help Desk

For Faculty/Staff:

• Laptops from IT Help Desk with supervisor approval
• iPads from CAT
• Computer peripherals from IT Help Desk
• Paper Easels from Irwin Library
