Universities often have websites that are "information centers" or "think tanks" on career-related topics. An example is the Center for Financial Security at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. To find these with Google, use your topic keywords, plus the Google tool for finding educational websites (site:edu). Example: "financial security" site:edu
Check websites for dates. The copyright date at the bottom of the webpage is not always the date the information was posted. Remember you can use the Google Search Tools option to narrow your results by date.
Corporate vs. personal authors: Many websites do not list the name of a personal author. In those cases, the source is usually a corporate author (the name of the company or organization that is sponsoring the website). Example: American Marketing Association
