If you are searching one of the library databases, please do not use the Full Text Limiter. This limits the results to items that are available in Full Text in that database, but the library often has access to the item either through another database or through an individual subscription to a journal and a link will be provided to the full text.
Don't give up if you don't see an icon for the full text!
Click on the Find Full Text button or a Find Full Text at BU link (or something similar) to see if the library does have full text access to the item (example) or if it is freely available.
Please remember that you can use InterLibrary Loan to get articles or book chapters in a few days, if they are not available through the Butler Libraries.
Information on specific court cases can be found in two library databases and in Google Scholar. See the Search Tips page for help with searching the databases.
Additional information can be found in Education journals that are indexed in ERIC and in news sources such as Education Week and The New York Times (Historical).
A small sample of e-books with information on court cases and special education law is shown below. You can use WorldCat Discovery to find more.
Although these will not really search everything, these tools will search for many books, articles, and more all with one search:
In addition to the Education specific databases, the following should be of help for School Counseling topics:
