5 Minute Clinical Consult

5 Minute Clinical Consult App Icon1. Before downloading the app, go to 5 Minute Clinical Consult and click on Create an Free Personal Account.

2. Go to Apple or Google Play store and download the app.

3. Use the username and password created in Step 1 to sign in!

Important Notes for this app:

  • There are many apps that are called 5 Minute Clinical Consult! Be sure to select the correct one!
  • You must login to the website every 90 days and sign back in with your institution’s authentication to keep your account active.

AccessMedicine

AccessMedicine App Icon

1. Go to AccessMedicine 
2. Create an account by clicking on the box at the top right of the screen that says Butler University.
3. Select Login or Create a Free MyAccess Profile.
4. Once you have your username and login, download the AccessMedicine app to your mobile device.
5. Login with your AccessMedicine account.

NOTE: If you have registered for a MyAccess profile on any of the Access sites, you can use the same MyAccess login credentials across all sites.

ASCVD Risk Estimator Plus

The updated ASCVD Risk Estimator Plus uses up-to-date American College of Caridology clinical policy and user feedback to help a clinician and patient build a customized risk lowering plan by estimating and monitoring change in 10 year ASCVD risk.

1. Download ASCVD Risk Estimator Plus app to your mobile device.
2. You're good to go!

Canvas Student

 

1. Download Canvas Student to your mobile device.
2. Search for Butler University when prompted to search for school.
3. Login with your Butler email address and password.

Canvas Teacher

 

1. Download Canvas Teacher to your mobile device.
2. Search for Butler University when prompted to search for school.
3. Login with your Butler email address and password.

ClinicalKey

ClinicalKey App Icon

 

1. Go to ClinicalKey
2. Create an individual account using your Butler email address.
3. In the confirmation email, click the link to start your remote access.
3. Download the ClinicalKey app and log in.

Clinical Pharmacology

A code is no longer needed to access the Clinical Pharmacology app! Please follow the steps below:

1. You will need to go to the Clinical Pharmacology powered by ClinicalKey website
2. Once on the main page, click Login on the upper right hand corner of the page.
3. You will be routed to the Login page. Bypass the username and password section by scrolling down to Remote Access and click Apply for Remote Access.
4. You will be routed to the "Apply for Remote Access" page and you will be required to enter your email address associated to the account (your @butler.edu domain). Click Continue. You will then receive a confirmation that you have successfully registered for Self-Managed Remote Access via your company.
5. Download the Clinical Pharmacology App and login.

NOTE: This is a BIG app. You may want to login via the library's site instead of a mobile app to save storage on your device.

DynaMedPlus

DynaMed App Icon

Begin by downloading the DynaMed Plus app from the iTunes or Google Play app store. After downloading, there are three ways to authenticate the app.

1. Log in via your institution's network.

Tap Institutional Network and then tap Authenticate to log in to the app if you are connected to your institution's Internal Network or Local Internet via Wi-Fi. Please note, this authentication type must first be enabled by your institution.

2. Sign in with your Personal User Account to authenticate the app.

  • Don’t have a Personal Account? Create one by accessing DynaMed Plus on the web through your institution and then selecting the Sign In/Create Account link in the top right hand corner of the screen. Enter your personal user account credentials and tap the Sign In button.

3. Send yourself an Access Link from within DynaMed Plus.

  • On the DynaMed Plus interface on your computer, click on the Get the DynaMed Plus Mobile App link in the Spotlight area.

  • Enter your e-mail address and click Send.

    An authentication link is e-mailed to you.

  • Open the e-mail from your mobile device and tap the authentication link to authenticate the app.

    Note: If you do not tap the authentication link in the e-mail within 48 hours you will need to request a new authentication key from within DynaMed Plus.

4. To authenticate the DynaMed Plus app with an Access Link:

After you log in, you are prompted to install via one of the following options:

  • Online Only: Use the app only while connected to the internet.

  • Partial Install: Store text and image thumbnails on your device. Full images are available when you are connected to the internet. This option helps you save space on your device.

  • Full Install: Store all DynaMed Plus content on your device. You do not need to be connected to the internet to access content on the app.

Note: It is recommended that you are on a Wi-Fi connection for the initial download of DynaMed Plus content as well as when updates become available.

Epocrates

2. Create a free account.

ePSS

The ePSS is an application designed to help primary care clinicians identify clinical preventive services that are appropriate for their patients. Use the tool to search and browse U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendations on the web or on your PDA or mobile device. 

1. Download AHRQ ePSS app to your mobile device
2. You're good to go, no personal account needed!

Medical Letter on Drugs and Therapeutics

1. Go to The Medical Letter on Drugs and Therapeutics
2. Click on "Mobile App" from the About Us menu on the left hand side of the page.
3. Create an account.
4. Download the Medical Letter app on your mobile device and login.

Micromedex

Micromedex App Icon

 

1. Download Micromedex app for your mobile device.
2. Go to Micromedex Healthcare Series
3. Click on the Download Mobile Apps button on the bottom right side of the page.
4. Follow the instructions to login to the mobile app.
NOTE: Do not share this password.

UpToDate

UpToDate App Icon

 

1. Go to UpToDate
2. Click Register on the top right side of the page.
3. Download the UpToDate app for your mobile device.
4. Login with your new username and password.
NOTE: You must verify your account on a desktop browser every 90 days.
