The Society for the Study of Sound and Music in Games acts as a central hub for the emerging academic, and professional, communities of people working with video game audio.

Ludomusicology is particularly popular amongst Australian scholars. The LSA site is quite robust and includes a well-developed section on resources, organizations, and connections with independent game developers (especially in Australia / the Australasian region).

AMS established a Ludomusicology Study Group in 2015. Their website is behind a member login. Instead, use the digitized abstracts archive to search for video game music presentations, papers, and to identify the active scholars in the United States.
