Publishing Opportunities in Business: Manage Your Author Profile

Journal Rankings and Publishing Opportunities in Business

Author Alert

Name ambiguity may affect:

  • identification and attribution of your work
  • career advancement and tenure
  • collaboration with other researchers

Fortunately, you can play an active role in managing your author profiles. Though no single clearing house exists for this purpose, major publishers offer a number of tools to help you with this task.

Selected Works @ BU Digital Commons

SelectedWorks is part of the Butler University Library's Digital Commons project, brought to you by The Berkley Electronic Press. SelectedWorks pages are "value enhanced" profile pages for faculty that provide the following benefits:

  • Allows faculty to control and disseminate research
  • Increased visibility of scholarly production
  • Increased visibility of scholarly work due to articles and abstracts being indexed in Google
  • Monthly download reports that provide for an indication of readership

The Lacy School of Business at Butler University participates in SelectedWorks. LSB  faculty with questions about their SelectedWorks page should contact Olivia MacIsaac, Scholarly Communication Associate, at omacisaa@butler.edu
