ALSO FROM OXFORD:
Oxford ebooks can be read instantly within any Internet browser, one entry at a time.
If your device does not have an Internet browser, it will not be compatible. Oxford ebooks do not have an easy download/pdf feature; you can technically download one entry at a time, but there is no option for downloading the entire text. We recommend you view titles via the browser on your device.
Options at the top of the page allow you to browse or search for a book. You can browse by subject or reference type. You can also click to see a list of all titles available through Butler subscription.
Note that this search distinguishes between reference entries and book titles. When you limit your search to Books, clicking on a title will take you to the book's record. When you limit your search to Entries, clicking on a result will take you directly to that particular entry within a reference title.
If you click on a book's title, move onto the next tab.
If you click on a reference entry, move ahead to tab #3.
Since it holds reference materials, Oxford's ebook collection is a bit atypical. Instead of having traditional tables of contents with chapters, you will see an alphabetical listing of entries. You are not able to download or view the entire text progressively; you must click on an entry in order to view it. There is a search box on the left that you can use instead of browsing.
The book record page has print, save, cite, and email options at the top.
To proceed, click on an entry title to open the Reference Entry page.
After selecting a reference entry title, you should see the text of the entry on your page.
The reference entry page has similar options to the book record page:
If you wish to create a pdf of this entry, you must print to Adobe PDF.
