Welcome to the IB 320 International Business Experience LibGuide!  This guide will help you with resources for your Country Project assignments throughout the semester.  If you have questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact your Business Librarian.  

Resources for Country Project

The following databases will provide information on multiple country research topics.  Use them to find country profiles, scholarly and popular articles, statistics, and more.

TIP:  For additional resources not linked on this guide, see the International Business LibGuide, or search Worldcat (Library catalog) to find books and more about your country. 

Provide information about your country on the topic of Location.  Some examples include geographic size, remoteness, water (any ports?) or land locked (what are the transportation links?), surrounding countries, etc.

Provide information about your country on the topic of Culture.  Some examples include languages, ethnicities, values, norms, negotiation patterns, decision making styles, ethical practices, etc. 

Provide information about your country on the topic of Political/Legal. Some examples include political systems, political risk, laws/regulations toward foreign firms, corruption, level of government intervention, etc. 

Provide information about your country on the topic of Administrative.  Consider regional trading blocs and ease of doing business topics. 

Provide information about your country on the topic of Economic.  Here you want to discuss economic freedom and currency risk. Consider everything from cost or quality of natural resources, financial resources, human resources, infrastructure, information or knowledge, as well as GDP and other economic factors.
