Getting Started with Quiliting and Sewing

This is a quick guide for getting started with quilting and sewing. Included below are videos that show basic skills needed to prep your materials and start sewing. The makerspace has 3 sewing machines and tools needed to start your project. The two green tackle boxes near the sewing machines contain:

Small scissors, large sissors

Rotary blades, 45mm and 28mm

Heat Transfer Markers

Instructions:

Use the iron to transfer your art to your fabric

Set the iron to high/cotton/400F

Iron over your artwork, moving the iron back and forth for at least 30 seconds
