What Happens When a Chat Comes In
If you have the Chat Operator screen up, you will hear an audio alert and see a pop-up alert.
If your LibChat screen is minimized, you will hear an audio alert and your browser will automatically zoom into focus (unless you are working in Firefox, in which you will have to manually change this setting.) You may also see an option when you log into LibChat that asks if you wish to Enable Desktop Notifcations. This will allow a popup to form in the lower right corner when a chat comes in (as in the screenshot below).
Claiming a Chat
Simply click Launch chat with... to claim the chat and open the chat window.
The chat window appears in the bottom right corner of your screen; you can move it elsewhere once it's open.
If you'd like, you can get more info about a user by clicking the blue i icon in the chat notification.
