While you are a Butler University student, you are welcome to borrow books from Butler Libraries. Your Butler ID will serve as your library card. If you don't have your ID with you, your credentials should be in the library system and library staff can look you up in the system and check out books to you.
While you are a Butler University student, you are also welcome to borrow books from libraries in our consortium, the Private Academic Library Network of Indiana (PALNI). These libraries are located around the state of Indiana and may be more conveniently located for you than Butler's campus in Indianapolis. Again, your Butler ID will serve as your library card. If you don't have your ID with you, your credentials should be in our shared library system and library staff can look you up and check out books to you.
Most state funded university libraries allow residents of their state to obtain a library card and check out books.
