DEI Innovation Fund:

Butler University invests in initiatives both broadly across the institution and also unit-specific that inspire ideas and engage the Butler community in creating a more diverse, inclusive and equitable learning and working environment.

Butler Awards in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

In alignment with the founding ideals of the institution, Butler University offers awards that highlight the mission of innovation and excellence built on the strengths of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Butler solicits nominations throughout the Fall semester for awards announced in the Spring. Members of the Butler community can send nominations in any category through this nomination form and questions about the program can be directed to founderscelebration@butler.edu.

• The Ovid Butler Founder’s Award—this award recognizes and celebrates community partners (individuals or organizations) who embody Butler University’s values of innovation, excellence, diversity, equity, and inclusion. This award includes a monetary stipend to continue the good work recognized by the award.
• Butler DEI Champion Awards—these awards recognize a Butler University program, person, and practice that is advancing the Butler mission at the crossroads of DEI & innovation.
