Butler Libraries' Butler+ Guide for Faculty

A guide for Butler+ faculty to learn how to incorporate library resources and services into their course delivery.

WorldCat - ebooks, articles, streaming media

Search our many collections at once!

WorldCat includes the Library's print books, ebooks, selected article databases, and various kinds of media such as DVDs and streaming video.  It's a good starting point because it covers all subject areas.

Off-campus, faculty, staff, and students have access to the ebooks and online journal and magazine articles found in WorldCat that Butler Libraries owns or rents.  Faculty, students, and staff who live within driving distance can utilize our print collections as well. Need help searching? Contact our LibChat chat service or Subject Librarian.

Articles / Books not available through Butler Libraries

Can an article or ebook obtained through Interlibrary Loan be put in Canvas?

Interlibrary Loan is a service where, if Butler Libraries' does not have access to an online article, we will request it from another academic or public library.  The item will be delivered to you, electronically, via an email notification.  Requesting an ebook is dependent on licensing restrictions.

Interlibrary loan is for individual research, not as a way to make instructional materials available in Canvas. That being said, Fair Use may allow some exceptions. Consult with your Subject Librarian for guidance on copyright and instructional materials or refer to Butler Libraries' Copyright: In the Classroom and Online LibGuide.
