Embedding a Panopto Recordings in Canvas Discussions
Navigate to your course in Canvas and select the Discussion assignment.
On the discussion forum, click "Reply."
In the Text Entry field that opens below the assignment instructions, click the Panopto icon.
This will open a window where you can navigate to the folder where you recorded your Panopto video. Navigate to the course assignment folder—it will be labeled “(your course name) [assignments]”—by typing in the folder name in the top field and choosing the assignment folder from the list.
Locate and select your video.
Select "Insert" in the bottom right.
Click the "Post Reply" button. Note that if your video is still processing, you may see a message saying “The video isn’t ready yet.” You can still post your reply, and the video will finish encoding and be live for your instructors and peers to view.
