Panopto allows a user to easily record audio, video, and screens or applications with their desktop application. You can launch Panopto by going to butler.hosted.panopto.edu, through the desktop application, or through Canvas. Below details the process of starting your video through these two different ways as well as a short tutorial on how to record with Panopto for Mac.
OS Version: Mac OSX versions 10.15, supported. Mac OSX versions 10.14, 10.13 recommended. See this supported version matrix for further details.
Note: Screen capture preview is disabled on macOS 10.12 and 10.13.
Processor: Standard Quality: Intel Core i3 or Core M recommended - Default Setting. High or Ultra Quality: Quad-Core Intel Core i7 recommended.
Panopto for Mac 5.0 is expected to work on most Mac systems running Mac OSX version 10.11. This includes a Primary audio and video stream and a single secondary video (screen capture) with the quality level set to the default ‘Standard Resolution’.
